Welcome to our Site! Welcome to our new blog & website, the one and only home of all things Ella Blue!  We're so excited to share this amazing collaboration with you all.  After many long hours of mind-melting over hot mugs of coffee, our ideas and inner voices have finally materialized into an amazing website & blog combination that truly represents who we are as a boutique photography company.  Our hope is that this won't simply be a place for people to come and look at photos, but a place where you can experience the things that drive us to create.  So please, enjoy some of our favorite songs, get to know us, and share in some of the most impressionable moments in people's lives.

This is one of my favorite images on the planet.  It's Crystal and her dad a few weeks ago in Cannon Beach, OR.  There's nothing I can say to emphasize my love for this shot, so I'll stop talking now :)

This photo takes me back to when Crystal was about 8 or 9 and she used to give me a big hug as I headed out the door for my nightshift patrol duties. I miss those days!

We first photographed Jared & Katie in January at their amazing Alderbrook Resort wedding.  To say that Katie was a stunning pregnant bride would be an understatement.  We recently had the opportunity to photograph them as a family...Jared, Katie, and Signe.  It's a true privilege to see a family blossom and share a small part of their lives.  Of the things we love about our business, the relationships we build along the way are what we cherish most.  Meet the Hokes.

Two weekends ago, we loaded up the car and made the trek to Seaside, Oregon.  We stayed a couple nights with family at my sister-in-law's parents' beautiful beach house.  We (Jason, Crystal, Gibson, Ella, Tim, Lori, Tim Jr, Jamie & Austin) had an amazing time, both on the beach and at the house.  We skim-boarded, played poker, ping-pong, Cranium, and even some Electronic Battleship for the kids.  Simple things with those closest to us.  It was perfect.  I couldn't think of a better way to share our weekend than in a collage of squares.  Squares are good.
