Welcome to our new blog & website, the one and only home of all things Ella Blue!  We're so excited to share this amazing collaboration with you all.  After many long hours of mind-melting over hot mugs of coffee, our ideas and inner voices have finally materialized into an amazing website & blog combination that truly represents who we are as a boutique photography company.  Our hope is that this won't simply be a place for people to come and look at photos, but a place where you can experience the things that drive us to create.  So please, enjoy some of our favorite songs, get to know us, and share in some of the most impressionable moments in people's lives.

I loved Jose Villa's recent blog post about his love of film photography. Jose's work is compeletely unique and I hope he inspires more photographers to use film again for it's beautiful, timeless look.

I loved it too. His work, as well as the work of several other film photographers I've recently discovered, has in fact inspired me to teach myself film. It's definitely a learning curve but I'm so excited by the possibilities and already enjoy the photography process so much more! Awesome blog. Glad to have found it :)

I had the most amazing lunch yesterday with two of my favorite photographer friends, Jenny & Heather. Everytime I get together with these girls, there seems to be no sense of time, we could spend all day talking about every possible thing. I am so thankful for these genuine, supportive, lovely friends that remind me of why I love what we do.

And one of my favorite shots...ever.

Oh my, so sweet! I love losing track of time with you. I was smiling all day thinking of all our funny little topics:) I don't have words to describe how much I love this portrait, it's perfect in every way. I fell asleep last night feeling inspired and looking at a wonderful B&W photography art book and dreaming about returning to the darkroom with B&W negatives of Ella and Gibson, what do you think?!!

I had always imagined myself living on a farm. Spending the days tending to the animals and garden, the evenings on the front porch with a cup of tea and a good book. That life is not realistic for our on-the-go family but someday, maybe someday....

Brad is my very cool cousin and this is his adorable fiancé. We were cracking up during their photobooth session, they weren't afraid to goof around and we love that. Can't wait for their July wedding!
